Don't Read This!

It can be discomforting, but it is true: You are now even closer to your death than the moment that you began reading this sentence.  What does this mean to you?

It means your choices have eternal consequences!

It has been estimated that technical information now doubles every 2 years.  By 2010, it is projected to double every 72 hours!  It is clearly impossible for a person to know everything about everything.  The person who believes that they know everything has the most to learn of all!  Consider God's I.Q. test, as given to Job.  See if you can pass it.  I can't!  In fact, I can't even begin to fully comprehend or explain the complete and wonderful complexity of God.  If our finite minds could, then He really wouldn't be much of a God worth worshipping!  Fortunately, He gave us a "User's Guide" called The Bible.

Throughout history, people have injected their traditions and desires into Christianity, splintering it into a confusing array of different denominations and wacky fringe groups.  They may share elements of Biblical Truth, but their liberal interpretations have clouded God's Grace from their congregations.  This leaves people uninformed and incapable of defending their beliefs...if they even know what they believe.  The standard Sunday morning Old Testament verse, Psalm verse and Gospel verse, with NO mention of Paul's saving Gospel of Grace, finished off with a moral or motivational message only gives people a positive attitude to take with them on the "Highway To Hell."

As a skeptic, I needed solid reasons to believe anything as fact.  Looking elsewhere, I developed an interest in the paranormal and investigated various religions.  However, the more that I studied all of these concepts with an open mind, it became evident that they really don't hold up to scrutiny.  Eventually, the Truth of the Bible became very clear.  I finally understood that the whole Bible was written FOR us, but not necessarily TO us - meaning that God chose to dispense his Word over time with some parts being only to the Jewish people under the Law and others including the Gentiles, a.k.a. anyone not of Jewish origin.  There are very sensible and logical answers out there for every question or critic of the Bible.  History, Archaeology, Geology, Astronomy, Biology, you name the field of study: They all point to Biblical accuracy!  The more we learn, the more confirmation we receive: Everything points to intelligent design, which necessitates a designer, and that designer is our Creator.

Life's evidence of design defies evolution.  The supernatural, by definition, is beyond our understanding.  A finite mind cannot comprehend the infinite.  That is why we were given an instruction manual: The Bible!  Even though they are at least 2,000 - 3,500 years old, the words of our Bible still hold true, despite man's constant yet futile efforts to disprove and ridicule them.  A couple decades worth of modern, humanistic, liberal academia for the biblical critic pales in comparison to the infallible written Word of the Creator of all time, space & matter!

The historical existence of Jesus Christ has been thoroughly confirmed and documented.  No credible historian would put their reputation on the line to question this undeniable fact.  Yet, many people still question His true identity.  The majority of people and religions agree that Jesus Christ was at least a great teacher.  But, He claimed to be God and said that He is the only way to Heaven!  What kind of a "great teacher" provides false information?  Given His claims, He was clearly a liar, a lunatic or the Lord!  (Some helpful insight: He wasn't a liar or lunatic!)  If what Jesus Christ said was true, then would it not be worth your time to investigate it?

Whether you believe it or not, once created, you have an immortal existence.  Where you choose to spend eternity is entirely up to you.  After physical death, you will either spend eternity with the Lord Jesus, in paradise, or without Him, in torment.  There is no "in-between" eternity for "do-overs" and there will be plenty of nice people surprised after death to find themselves in the Lake of Fire!  "Purgatory" is a non-Biblical man-made lie.  Don't let it lull you into thinking that you'll always have time to get around to the "important stuff" later.

One of the earliest known civilizations, the ancient Sumerians, wrote much about the enigmatic Anunnaki and worshipped them as gods.  These Anunnaki could be the fallen angels of the Bible.  They are also the most logical source of stories regarding "ancient astronauts" and the modern day Unidentified Flying Objects. (Have you EVER heard of a saved Christian being abducted by "little green men?"  It can't happen!)  Under the leadership of Satan (Yes, he does exist…and no, he doesn't run around holding a pitchfork wearing a little diaper, so that he can be easily identified!), these fallen angels deceive humanity and preoccupy minds & time with trivial things to keep people busy and far away from the Bible.  Their eternal fate is sealed and they would like your company!  However, you presently have a choice.  You may have heard it said from these self-"help" gurus that there are many roads which lead to God.  Well, there is some truth in that: All roads do lead to God...for judgment!  Only one leads to Him for salvation and that is solely though faith in the work He did here on earth for us as Jesus the Christ.

There are many professing "Christians" who haven't got a clue what the Bible actually says,  either because of unconcern or from all of the false teachers and false doctrines.  Then, there are the fringe groups and money-hungry TV evangelists that make true Christianity an easy target for mockery and ridicule because of their silly non-biblical beliefs and ignorant actions.  A lot of people only use church as a social club or daycare and could basically care less about what is being taught in their services, if anything is even being taught.  These are typically the same people, who at a funeral may wishfully say that the deceased "is now in a better place."  Where do they come up with this stuff?!?  They categorically say this without even knowing if the deceased was a believer!  No matter how much one hopes, if the person previously occupying that empty body was not saved in this lifetime, they are definitely not now in a better place!  F.Y.I.: After they're dead, no amount of praying can help them!  Their decision was already made, as even a non-decision is in fact a decision against.

If you are already truly a brother or sister in Christ, then "Maranatha!"  Hopefully, this site might serve as a source for additional spiritual growth.  If not, your best interest would be served in doing a little investigating!

A brother-in-Christ, who I was recently reunited with, puts it something like this to those who refuse to accept Jesus Christ as their Savior: "If I'm right, I win and you lose.  If you're right, we both lose.  Either way, you lose!"

If all of this sounds foolish to you, be aware that "the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.  For it is written: 'I will destroy the wisdom of the wise; the intelligence of the intelligent I will frustrate.'" (1 Corinthians 1:18-19)

Briefly lay down (and slowly back away from) the TV remote, sports page, stock market daily, entertainment rag or whatever other tool being used to preoccupy your mind and time, in order to distract you from the Truth and just consider eternity, if even only for a moment.  What will yours be like?  Do you know for certain?

The worse thing would be for you to spend eternity in the Lake of Fire, wondering "Why didn't somebody tell me?"  Well, now consider yourself told.  See, I told you not to read this.

Now, you have no excuse…and nobody to blame except for yourself.  I would apologize, but remember: I'm unapologetic!

P.S. Regarding a question that I received about people who may not have the chance to even read a Bible:
The Bible tells us that everyone should know of God by what He has created and revealed to us.  If people choose not to believe in God, they are without excuse!
Psalm 19:1-4
The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands. Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they display knowledge. There is no speech or language where their voice is not heard. Their voice goes out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world.
Titus 2:11
For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men.

Romans 1:20

For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities--his eternal power and divine nature--have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.
We will be held accountable to that amount of information to which we have been exposed.  As listed in the above three verses, when you refuse God to whatever degree that He has shown Himself to you, then you are "without excuse."  ALL people have the opportunity, many just refuse to believe it.  You cannot pick and choose your scripture.  It's all or none.  Why would a thinking person believe anything from a book that they suspect to contain errors?  If you don't believe it all, then you may as well close the Book!

2 Corinthians 4:4

The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.
